Looking for ways to make your house more comfortable and cheaper to run?
Get a Scorecard assessment and clear up the confusion.

What is a Scorecard assessment?
The Scorecard gives you a star rating for your home, like the star rating on your fridge, and suggestions for how to improve your rating.
The Scorecard has been developed by the Victorian Government to help Victorians better understand the energy performance of their homes and to make informed choices about improving the quality of their living environment, while saving money on their gas and electricity bills.
Scorecard is delivered by independent accredited assessors using the government-supported Scorecard webtool. The assessor rates the energy efficiency of your home's construction, fixed appliances, and other key features such as solar PV energy production. The Scorecard also rates how comfortable your home is in hot weather.
Many Victorian homes have high energy bills simply due to the way the home is built. The Scorecard helps you understand and improve this performance.
Why get a Scorecard assessment?
Are your power bills too high? Do you struggle to keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter? Find out new ways to improve your home’s comfort and save on bills with a Scorecard assessment.
A Scorecard assessment gives your home a star rating, showing its cost to run. You get a detailed certificate to help improve comfort and performance, and tailored advice from your assessor.
A Scorecard assessment will tell you where your home is using the most energy and how you can reduce your use while staying comfortable.
Our Scorecard assessors are highly skilled and are accredited by the Victorian Government.

Booking a Scorecard assessment
Geelong Sustainability offers Scorecard Assessments that are performed by local highly skilled accredited assessors in the Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast regions.
Assessments cost between $550 and $650 depending on the location of the home. An assessment of a typical 3-bedroom home usually takes between 1.5 to 2 hrs to complete. Please enquire about assessment costs for locations outside of Geelong.
An accredited assessor will visit your home to conduct a thorough on-site assessment. They will collect data covering: construction materials, your hot water system, heating, cooling, lighting and any renewable energy sources.
At the end of the assessment you will receive a certificate showing the overall star rating, hot weather rating and other information including upgrade advice specific to your home.
"I just wanted to say thank you sincerely for your service last week. You were not only incredible knowledgeable and professional but also very genuine and helpful. We are both thrilled to now understand what steps we need to take to make our home more sustainable and efficient."
