You’re invited to join a diverse group of individuals and organisations from across the Barwon South West for a conversation that matters — one focused on place-based climate action and how we work together to make real, local progress.

This event forms part of the Partnerships for Local Action and Community Empowerment (PLACE) Listening Tour — a national collaboration between the Australian Government and philanthropic foundations designed to amplify local voices, understand regional priorities, and support stronger, more connected place-based responses to climate challenges.

This is about action rooted in place — and shaped by the people who live and lead here.

We’ll explore how local partnerships can drive effective climate solutions, and how we can build momentum together toward a more sustainable, inclusive future for our region. It’s also an early opportunity to connect this conversation with the direction of our new strategy, which puts collaboration at its centre.

The timing for the day is as follows:

• 9:15am – arrival
• 9:30am – formal event
• 12:30pm – lunch (provided) and networking
• 1:00pm – event end
