What’s it all about?
Learning how to harness natural abilities to move your body regardless of age, improve health and fitness and rediscover the joy of running.
What will we cover?
During this interactive session we will briefly review the mechanics of running for the non runner to the elite. We will suggest ways to strengthen and maintain physical health.
The session is designed to inspire those who may not actively choose running as an exercise to see how it can help them to be healthier and get more joy from the benefits that running affords. More experienced runners may enjoy sharing their knowledge and pick up some extra tips from an experienced multi day runner.
We will cover things like breathing, stretching, beginning to run, water running and other techniques.
Who will be presenting?
Saranyu Pearson is an experienced multi-day runner who employs running as a way to conduct her daily activities as well as to maintain and strengthen health.
She is a natural health practitioner and has been running as a primary source of exercise for 20 years. She has organised and participated in many running events around the world including marathons, triathlons and multi day races including being a regular participant in the global torch relay The Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run.
Saranyu will be sharing her own experiences and the knowledge she has attained through her own practices in order to inspire others who may not think of running as a way to enjoy themselves.
