Find out how Geelong is regaining its manufacturing mojo! Geelong’s future as a clever and creative city-region is being facilitated by innovative local companies like Austeng. Austeng is a boutique engineering firm with unique end-to-end capabilities and knowhow led by Ross and Lyn George.

Come along to our October Green Drinks to learn about Austeng’s current R&D collaborative projects:

  • Geopolymer concrete – a longer lasting, superior product made using industrial waste products (A solution to concrete cancer using carbon fibre to create a 100 year maintenance free bridge)
  • Polymeric Powders – a new plastic-rubber composite material made using reclaimed rubber from old car tyres
  • Capricorn Power – a new super efficient engine, the Barton Engine turns customers waste heat into low cost electricity thereby reducing emissions.

Be inspired by these exciting collaborative engineering projects that have the potential to re-energise our manufacturing sector and enable our region’s transition to a low carbon circular economy.

Finger food will be provided and drinks can be purchased at bar prices. The entry fee is $5.00 for non-members and a gold coin at the door for GS members.
