Nature Based Mindfulness
What’s it all about?
Nature-based mindfulness is a process that allows us to ‘tune in’ to our sensory system and regulate our emotions. It requires us to be mindful of our sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing through deep listening to nature. Deep means not just seeing, smelling, tasting, feeling, or hearing but really listening to what nature is telling us.
What will we cover?
This course will cover the benefits of connecting to nature and you will learn how to ‘tune in’ to your sensory system using the technique of nature-based mindfulness. This is a method that requires practical application and connection to a natural environment. You will be able to learn a new skill to support you to regulate emotions when feeling stressed, anxious, or disconnected from the world.
Kit says it would be great if you have access to nature like a garden/yard and can take your device out with you, for part of this class.
