EMMA CHESSELL – COMMUNITY ENERGY OFFICER
Emma has a wide range of professional experience in the energy sector in technical roles, research and policy advocacy. She has worked on the design and project management of renewable energy projects, and residential and commercial energy efficiency deployment. Recently, she has advocated for consumers in gas and electricity infrastructure planning. At Geelong Sustainability Emma works with small businesses and not-for-profit organisations to help cut their energy costs, reduce emissions and make plans towards net zero.
DAN COWDELL – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Dan is the CEO of Geelong Sustainability and an engineer who is passionate about transitioning our community towards 100% renewable energy. He has a background in both commercial and not-for-profit sectors with over 18 years’ experience working as an electrical engineer, project manager and community organiser. He has worked in the fields of industrial automation, renewable energy, energy efficiency, community energy and climate change.
