Bay Cruise to 2019 SLF Big Weekend
You’re invited to join Geelong Sustainability’s delegation on their annual Big Day Out to the SLF Big Weekend in Melbourne on Saturday 9 February. The group will travel together aboard the new passenger ferry, which cruises across Port Phillip Bay between Portarlington and Docklands.
Now in its 20th year, the National Sustainable Living Festival aims to accelerate the uptake of sustainable living and to seek solutions to global warming. The 2019 theme is disruption and indeed there are disruptions for sustainability happening all around the world that are shaking up the norms.
Set adjacent the Yarra River along Birrarung Marr, the Big Weekend is always the festival highlight and most activities are free. This year is no exception with over 100 events including presentations by international speakers and local experts, interactive workshops, extensive exhibitors market, product displays plus fabulous vegetarian food.
