Panelists:
Sally Fisher – Real Deal Geelong
Sally lives and works on Wadawurrung land in Geelong and is the local Community Organiser for The Real Deal Geelong project. Sally is a local leader in the Australian Conservation Foundation Community Geelong group. Following her role leading the local environmental campaign against the gas terminal proposed for Geelong, she was drawn to the community organising as an approach, which has the potential to address both social and environmental sustainability and begin to create the new economy we all need to thrive into the future. Sally has recently been elected to the Australian Conservation Foundation Council at the National level (2024-2027).
Jacqui Dunn – Parents for Climate
Jacqui is a nurse, a mum and local resident. She works as a hospital coordinator, and nursing trainer teaching nursing students. Jacqui loves nothing more than a cuppa looking out at the water then a dip in the sea. She is a passionate environmental advocate and volunteer for the local of Parents for Climate group.
Parents for Climate are Australia’s leading climate advocacy organisation for parents, carers, families and all who care about a safe future for kids. They educate and empower our supporters to make the climate safer for every child. Founded in 2019 by six regional, rural and urban mums in four states and territories, they’ve grown rapidly to fill a critical gap in the climate movement.
