Volunteer opportunity for the Viva Energy Gas Import Terminal campaign. 

Join us for a day of community action as we work together to demonstrate widespread opposition to the Viva Energy Gas Import Terminal.

Volunteers will meet at Café Go for coffee and a briefing before heading out to various community locations to engage with the public and gather signatures on postcards. Depending on your availability, volunteers can participate for an hour or multiple hours throughout the day. At 4.30pm, we’ll reconvene at a central location to debrief, share experiences, and return the signed postcards.

These postcards, expressing our opposition, will be sent directly to the Minister for Planning, who holds the power to decide the future of this project. By showing strong community opposition, we can make a powerful statement against this harmful proposal. We need thousands of people putting pressure on the Planning Minister to reject this proposal and the postcards are one of the strategies that we are implementing to make our voices heard. If you volunteer we will support you to feel comfortable to engage with people about the campaign and ask them to take a simple action of signing a postcard.
