Geelong Sustainability recently put forward a submission regarding the Essential Services Commission’s minimum feed in tariff review.

Minimum Feed in Tariff – What it Means for You

If you have or are planning to get solar and are not on a promotional feed in tariff you will see approximately a 9% reduction in your bill’s solar feed in credit. We suggest:

  • Where possible, run appliances during the day
  • A well sized solar system should cover your usage today and in the future especially if considering an electric vehicle
  • When upgrading or replacing appliances consider solar optimisation e.g hot water heat pumps or solar aware EV chargers
