Geelong Sustainability is running an Electric Homes Program during 2023 to support the region’s transition away from gas.

This program is a collaborative and coordinated community purchasing program at scale across the G21 region (Geelong, Surf Coast, Colac Otway, Golden Plains and Queenscliffe) providing households the opportunity to install and/or upgrade the following:

  • Solar systems
  • Battery systems
  • Heat pump hot water systems
  • Split system heating and cooling

This program is delivered in partnership with the City of Greater Geelong and other G21 councils and will focus on education and information about the various upgrades and installations available to electrify your home. We will then connect you with the various installers and providers to support you with these upgrades/installations. The Electric Homes Program exists to help you save on your energy bills and reduce emissions from your household.
