Geelong Sustainability in partnership with Women in Local Democracy (WILD) Geelong is pleased to host our July Green Drinks with a focus on Our Climate Crisis – What Can Our Council Do? – How Can Our Community Respond?
Guest Speakers include Cr Jim Mason, Geelong City Council; Noreen Nicholson, recipient of Geelong Women in Community Life Award; Lauren Dillon, Year 12 Student at Clonard College; Vicki Perrett, Geelong Sustainability President; and a guest speaker from City of Greater Geelong (TBC).
WILD supports Women’s Participation and Leadership in Community, Civic and Political Life, including gender equity, diversity and active citizenship, the three principles of the Victorian Local Government Women’s Charter.
This event is for anyone interested in taking action on the climate crisis, and is a must for anyone looking to become involved in local government or stand as a candidate for the 2024 Council election. We also welcome supporters, friends, campaign team members, current councillors, WILD members, Geelong Sustainability members, and community members.
Entry by gold coin donation, drinks at bar prices.
