Having been a resident of Point Lonsdale on and off for 30 years and regular visitor to the Bellarine for another 30 years, I love the tradition of low lying beach shacks nestled within the Tea Trees and the Moonahs.

When a small rear battle axe block become available 18 months, I began to envisage my dream shack sitting in a secret native coastal garden around the back of the pre existing house with street frontage.

In the early planning stages I attended the 2017 Geelong Sustainability Open Day and heard Stuart Wilkinson from Homes With Integrity talking about his approach to energy efficient houses. I was sold! I teamed him up with my designer Stuart Miller BEFORE plans were finalized and they worked together to produce a beautiful 8.2 star house that I couldn't be happier with

In 2019 the home was a finalist for the Best Sustainable Home of the Master Builders Association of Victoria awards within the Southwest region. I now live in a very comfortable home that is performing to both the design and construction intent, an energy efficient home that works passively in both winter and summer.
