interactive_drumming_show.jpg
What's it all about?

African Drumming workshops are 'like going to a concert...only you're a part of it!'  These sessions are FUN, engaging, educational, inclusive and entertaining and they allow for all abilities to experience success. In this introduction to African Drumming, AFROBEAT will have everyone drumming to the beat of large African bass drums. With every beat, the enthusiasm and excitement builds as participants begin to sense the power of their individual rhythmic contributions!

What will we cover?

Within minutes, AFROBEAT will lead a cacophony of noise into an awe-inspiring musical performance guaranteed to wow the first-time drummer. Without knowing it, participants have learnt the art of working together without words, building dynamic sounds and polyrhythmic compositions traditional to West Africa.

Who will be teaching
Experienced teacher, Neeni Tuti captures the imagination of her participants while inspiriting cultural awareness, diversity, team spirit, connection and self-esteem through African drumming.  You will learn traditional African rhythms and movements in a FUN, inclusive and uplifting atmosphere.
