Who Gives A Crap? We do. Do You?

Your simple choice of this basic commodity can have global rewards! By purchasing this eco-friendly product from Geelong Sustainability – you’ll be helping to build toilets in the third world. And that's a fantastic win-win social initiative!

Good for People - 40% of the world's population doesn't have access to a toilet – imagine that? So Who Gives A Crap donates 50% of its profits to WaterAid to build toilets for those in need.

Good for the Earth - All Who Gives A Crap products are made from 100% recycled paper fibres, bamboo or sugarcane – saving on water, carbon emissions and trees.

Toilet paper that's Good for Your Bum and Great for the World!

Order by the box - as many boxes as you like!

There are 48 rolls of individually wrapped toilet paper per box - as shown above. This is good, thick, 3 ply tissue with 400 sheets per roll (called a double length roll and yes, it will fit on your toilet roll holder!).

A box makes a fun birthday or special occasion gift, too!

And if you want to try before you buy - pick up a single roll for $1 at Green Drinks or at our numerous market stalls.

    Prices

Pick up price - $41 per box of 48 rolls, pick up in East Geelong

    Theme: What's Geelong's Future

Come along to this special Geelong Green Drinks as we begin a very important dialogue about what Geelong's future should look like.

Be informed - Be inspired - Be connected

Be informed as you watch the short film The Economics of Happiness and be challenged by the imperative to replace globalisation with localisation.

Then be inspired as our prodigal Danish journalist returns to Geelong with visionary tales from his latest European adventure.

And finally, connect with others to identify the important elements for a more productive, liveable and sustainable region.

Keynote speaker: Mik Aidt - Journalist, The Sustainable Hour Co-Host, climatesafety.info Blogger.

    Event format:

    • Welcome and Pop-ups speakers
    • Short Film: The Economics of Happiness
    • What's Geelong’s Future? - Keynote speaker, Mik Aidt will give a presentation on Danish enviro insights and sustainability trends, as the City of Greater Geelong launches its community consultation process to find out what we think 'Our Future' should look like. Followed by a group discussion.

  • Sustainable House Day Geelong

    Sustainable_House_Day_Logo.jpg

Sustainable House Day gives people the opportunity to see inside houses that have been designed, built, renovated or retro-fitted with sustainability in mind.  Geelong Sustainability has been coordinating this event with support from the City of Greater Geelong for 8 years. This year we're also assisting houses to open in Golden Plains Shire.

The 2016 program is looking like our best ever! With 12+ homes opening across suburban Geelong, the Bellarine and Golden Plains Shire on Sunday 16th October.

Get inspirational ideas and practical advice from the home owners and local experts.  At many locations, you'll find architects, builders, renewable energy experts and permaculture/gardening gurus who will be providing conducted tours and/or sharing their expertise.

You will be able to tour newly built, energy-efficient homes opening in Ocean Grove, Armstrong Creek, Bannockburn, St Leonards & Indented Head.

For people keen to learn about how to go off-grid, don’t miss the homes opening at Inverleigh and Little River.  While anyone thinking about going gas-free should visit the volume-built home at Armstrong Creek.

If you are planning a renovation or just wanting to retrofit your existing home to make it more comfortable, then you should visit the homes opening in Newtown, East Geelong, Manifold Heights & Wallington.

For the garden lovers you’ll find that most homes also have productive gardens and many have chickens and some have ducks.  If you want to learn more about permaculture, then you should not miss wandering around the amazing gardens in Thomson, Manifold Heights, Wallington and Bannockburn.
