Planning for Our Future
The Annual General Meeting of Geelong Sustainability will be held:
Thursday 10 November
Library Room - Grovedale Hotel, 236 Torquay Road, Grovedale
5.30 pm for a prompt 6.00 pm start.
To address the theme of Planning for Our Future, our special guest will be Mr Geoff Lawler PSM - Lead City Vision Executive for the City of Greater Geelong
Mr Lawler was recently awarded the Public Service Medal for outstanding public service by developing financial structures to improve the sustainability of the built environment in Victoria. In his role as Director of City Operations, Geoff led the development of the City of Melbourne's sustainability strategy, and the growth of international networks of sustainable cities. He established the 1200 Buildings Program, which uses innovative financing structures to assist private landlords to make their buildings more efficient. Geoff's commitment and dedication has resulted in Melbourne becoming a more liveable, better planned, sustainable city.
