                  Climate Action, Local and Global

Check out this article on Transition initiatives in the States - I'm familiar with some of the places they mention - I'm so excited that it's spreading!

http://www.yesmagazine.org/issues/climate-action/towns-rush-to-make-low-carbon-transition?utm_source=dec09&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=10_Lohan

and here's an older one from the same publication
http://www.yesmagazine.org/issues/climate-solutions/communities-in-transition

I was involved with one of City Repair's Village Building Convergences in my hometown, Portland, Oregon. I think their model is very similar to Transition and they're able to attract a diversity of people to their varied events and workshops and be an active and recognised organisation in a city of about a million. I'm forwarding their latest weekly email as an example of what they're up to. I suggest you sign up to receive their updates or watch their website for ideas and inspiration. Feel free to get in touch with any queries - I'd be happy to chat about my experience with them!
