SOLAR HOT WATER

Been thinking about installing a Solar Hot Water System, but just haven’t got around to it yet?

Hot water accounts for 20% of a household's greenhouse gas emissions in Victoria. By installing a solar water heater you will reduce these emissions and also save up to 75% of your water heating costs.

The Victorian Government announced in June 2008 that the rebate on solar hot water systems for rural and regional Victoria will be increased up to a possible $2,500 from the current $1,500. AAE solar presentation July 17th 2008 ...

Rick and Chris from AAE Solar explained how they have produced a base model evacuated tube solar hot water system that will take advantage of the new solar hot water rebates such that, assuming you qualify, you may only be out of pocket on installation costs.

It is a great time to change your system to solar as the payback time will now be significantly less.

There is expected to be a bit of a rush around Victoria now to take advantage of the new rebates particularly as the number of rebates available is limited to 15000 over 3 years; To this end you will can 'reserve' your rebate by filling in the form below (you will need to be a member of Geelong Sustainability Group to take advantage of the deal- only $20- go to 'join as member' and follow the steps).

You will probably need to talk to Chris, Rick or Geoff at AAE solar (ph:1300 303 779 fax: 03 9785 2310) to complete this form, which will reserve you a rebate for a solar hot water system. If you do not proceed any further with your order, after 3 months your name will be dropped from the list. You will still be able to reapply at a later date if necessary, depending on how many systems have been ordered across Victoria.
